The first-ever episode of the Startup Flame podcast is finally here!

In this episode, I share, why I decided to start podcasting?

I also share with you how anyone can start their business and develop it as a brand through regular podcast updates. Hold on tight – this is going to be fun for anyone who is in business or planning to start one.

I have been in business for the past three decades and in between worked with top retail companies in India and created, developed and launched various branding strategies and marketing campaigns. As I informed my friends over the last few months, I am planning to start this podcast. Lot of people have been saying, Why now? Why are you starting to podcast now?

There are several reasons that I am doing it now. Partly it is the accumulation of the people over the years who have said, “You should start a podcast,”. I guess that is one of the factors, but the main factor for me is that I love to share my real-life stories and experience in branding and marketing which I earned through these years.

I guess, one of the realizations that I have had over this year, particularly during this pandemic situation is that the opportunities that I get to speak the value of branding & marketing, and I enjoy it. That was part of the reason to start podcasting. The other one is that I’ve been a bit of a podcast listener and a bit addicted to it as well. I would thank Pat Flynn of Smart Passive Income, as he is my mentor in podcasting and I thank Team Flynn as well.

Earlier this year, I started reading a lot, where I get my learning, inspiration, and keeping up-to-date with what’s happening in my niches, and also develop myself in terms of personal development. Around the same time, I decided to start walking every day for an hour. I have decided to use that hour every day to listen to podcasts and audiobooks.

I find them easier to stay focused while I am listening because I am just walking and there is something very intentional about choosing to listen to a podcast. Ultimately, for me, podcasts have led to a change in my life, a lot. Not just in my business but in some of the podcasts I listen to, in terms of health, relationships, and even learned emotional intelligence to keep my mind healthy.

I want to share my hope for you, The Startup Flame podcast is something that stimulates action, but more than that, that it promotes some of the habits that successful brands have built on. I always believe in “Do one small thing today that will take you closer to your dreams,”. The idea is to constantly remind me to take my next best step. To not just allow my dreams to stay locked in my head, but rather that next best step just needed to happen one way or the other.

You just need to take the next step in your business, that is BRANDING. Keep moving closure to your clients. That is what I want this podcast to be about. I want it to inspire action. I want it to teach you how to identify and to take your next best step.

Branding is critical to a business because of the overall impact it makes on your product or company. Branding can change how people perceive your product or service. It will drive your business during any situation.

Let us talk a lot about two key aspects of business, that is Branding and Marketing in all future episodes of Startup Flame Podcast.

Again, for me, it’s all about action. It’s about helping you to develop some helpful habits that are going to help you improve your brand value. Keep following Startup Flame. Super excited to see you to hang on with me during this wonderful journey.

Thank you and I am Rajalingam Rathinam signing off now and let us catch up again with another interesting business strategy.
